Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to any Americans that may happen to pass this way!
I've always wanted to experience the independence day celebrations in the U.S. I've been to America twice, once in the spring of 2001 and once in the autumn (fall) of 1999, although not yet in the summer.
I hope you all enjoy this day with fireworks and however else you wish to celebrate.
I would also like to congratulate NASA and the crew of the Space Shuttle Discovery today on a successful launch on their mission to the International Space Station.

Forty years of hurt!

Well, I can't beleive it. Shafted by the Portuguese in a penalty shoot-out, again! I don't know what was worse; history repeating itself, Christiano bloody Ronaldo getting Wayne Rooney sent off, or not being award 2 blatant penalties.
I can't bare to talk about it any longer, what about France knocking Spain and then Brazil out of the world cup! I hope they smash Portugal to smitherines!

Games

One of my favourite hobbies is playing online-games. These come in many forms, ranging from java games played on websites upto Massive Multiplayer games which require their own servers. The 2nd is my preferred type of game, and some of my favourites are Legend of Mir and Entropia Universe (formerly Project Entropia.)

As technology improves, as does the enjoyment of online-gaming, this is a topic that I find interesting but would take up too much space to discuss in detail here. So lucky for you guys, i've already written an article on the topic which was published in a book entitled TERRA INCOGNITA: Tales from the Third Planet.

My article can also be viewed online here. Scroll about a quarter of the way down the page, click on Reality? Virtually! by Sentinel.

I hope you all enjoy.

Day of The Beast!

I haven't updated for a few days, because as I mentioned earlier I am in the process of moving house.
I thought I ought to post today to celebrate surviving yesterday, the Day of The Beast! =D
the 6th of the 6th 2006 (06/06/06) for all you Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobes* out there.

Well, yesterday went smoothly for me, I hope it did for all of you too. I am now moved in to my bungalow =D but just moving my stuff with me bit by bit, so at the moment I am back at my mums to update here.

I'll get things back to normal as soon as possible.

*Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia - the fear of the number 666, due to the belief that it represents the mark of The Beast!

Super Saints!

Well, this weekend has been a good one for me. In a sporting sense at least. Not only did England beat Jamaica 6 - 0!!! (I know it was only Jamaica but a 6 - 0 win is a 6 - 0 win! and Peter Crouch scoring a hat-trick! Well...)

I am also a Rugby League fan and this weekend was the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.

My local team, The Saints , faced les Catalans dragons and proceeded to pulverise them with a 56 - 10 defeat to go on to the semi-finals!

GO SAINTS!

and, COME ON ENGLAND!
